Mirror Meditation

I’ve been trying mirror meditations lately, which I find enjoyable and very interesting. For me, it consists of sitting in a chair or on the bed in front of a stand-alone mirror, and staring at my forehead (some refer to this as the ‘third eye’, or brow chakra). I find this type of meditation useful because I’m far less likely to drop off to sleep (which can be a regular occurrence after a long day at work). It’s also enjoyable because as a pleasant side-effect I see my aura come through very strongly.

On another note, I seem to be entering a sceptical phase. I spoke to a new friend about this who said she experienced similar phases now and then. It’s frustrating because I feel like I’m hitting a brick wall – which could be that I simply don’t have the abilities that I’m seeking to develop. But I’m going to keep going anyway, and hopefully something will develop.

  1. Keep going! You'll just go deeper the more you meditate/tune in. Sometimes it can feel like you reach a sort of plateau and you kind of stay there for a while. I believe this is because you need to assimliate what you have learnt so far. But then you go deeper again.
It's worth it - have patience and don't be so hard on yourself. Great things happen when we explore this side of ourselves/the universe.
I think what you are doing is inspiring.
Have a read of "Opening to Channel" it really is fantastic (details on my website bookstore - you link up to Amazon if you want to buy it and can't find it in Aus).
    Blessings Erin!
