Tarot Training (Part Two)

I’ve finished the Major Arcana in the Tarot Card course! Having said that, it’s an on-going process of learning the cards and understanding them in various contexts; but I have completed the initial familiarisation process with them.

As I discussed in the first Tarot Training blog, there are 78 cards in a Tarot set. The Major Arcana constitute the first 22, and are considered to be the most important cards. The remaining cards are divided into four suits, similar to a set of playing cards, with the suits being Swords, Wands, Cups and Pentacles.

The process so far has been to go through a process of spending time with each Major Arcana card, to identify the key elements and feelings invoked by each card, and how this might be interpreted in a reading. There’s also the opportunity to get feedback and guidance from a lady who is very experienced in using the cards.

On another topic, I’m still feeling a little ‘blah’ about all of this. I’m feeling very jealous, at the moment, of those people I keep coming across who have paranormal and psychic experiences without even wanting them. I wish it were a little easier for me!

  1. I've struggled with my gifts and found that as soon as I got out of effort and quit trying so hard magical things happened. I wrote a post about my experience bending a spoon with my mind. It was when I was learning at the Berkely Pysychic Institute in California. I also think that faith, which you mention in an earlier post, never really leaves, we just forget. I'd love your feedback at my blog, Daily Spiritual Tools. Namaste, Sherry
