Complementary Crystals

I am pleased to say that since my last post, I have done a short meditation (10 minutes) each morning before work. I’m not sure why, but I felt it was better to do it during the daytime, rather than at night (is that weird?).

As I do sometimes find it difficult to concentrate, I thought I would look into getting some crystals to support me in meditating, and also to keep things positive. I have to be honest and say that one of my fears in this process is that by trying to open up my mind, I might open it up to things uninvited. I’m hoping the crystals will help me with this. Because of this, each night and before meditating I ask for protection from darkness.

After reading up on the Internet on other people’s experiences of crystals, I went to www.crystalcreekproducts.com.au and bought the following crystals:

• Agate Blue Lace: Described as helping one to reach high spiritual places, and used for inner attunement. To be honest, I couldn’t go past this one simply because it was so beautiful...

•Amethyst: Described as a stone of spirituality and contentment; and excellent for meditation.

•Hematite: Described as excellent for grounding.

•Mookite: Described as imparting a desire for new experiences, and the deep calm with which to face them.

•Obsidian: Described as an excellent grounding stone that shields against negativity.

•Quartz: Described as excellent for giving and receiving energy.

•Red Jasper: Described as a stone that is worn for protection, to protect against negativity and be grounded to Earth.

•Smokey Quartz: Described as an excellent grounding stone, aiding meditation and stimulating higher awareness.

I’m interested to know whether anyone has any feedback on this choice of crystals, particularly for a beginner.
