Why do This?

I’ve had mixed responses from readers to this blog. Firstly, I’d like to thank all the people that emailed me about it, and encourage you to keep leaving comments. Largely, I have received a positive and supportive response to this journey, which I very much appreciate. One person, a psychic, told me that I was doing this out of fear; and looking to debunk the psychic field. She also stated that it was wrong for me to be a ‘messenger’, in recording my experiences objectively.

Consequently, I do feel the need to provide further clarifications for those people who might misunderstand my intentions. She was right, in a way, that there is an element of fear in this journey, but it’s not that I might find some truth to it; it’s that I will find quite the opposite – nothing. That would be devastating. However, I don’t think it will be the case.

I believe I have to record my experiences honestly and accurately, as not to do so would be lying. The psychic who emailed me explained that not everyone is meant to be psychic or clairvoyant, which I appreciate. While I am seeking to expand my own mind and abilities, I am under no delusion that I will become psychic tomorrow, or perhaps ever. Rather, I aim to fulfil my own potential, whatever that is.
