Starting Off

I have always been interested in 'psychic stuff'. I have always wanted to believe in it. But I’ve never been able to convince myself completely – the evidence for and against the existence of a psychic realm is a little inconsistent.

Everyone has a story, about themselves or a friend who had a psychic experience that seemed more than coincidental. On the other hand, at least in everyday life, we hear of these experiences so rarely that on the whole perhaps they are just coincidences.

It doesn’t help that only a very few people seem to be blessed with psychic abilities. How do we know if we’re being taken for a ride? Or if they’re just a little bit crazy?

I’ve been to a few psychics for personal readings over the last 5 years. Mostly, they were either completely off the mark or a little too vague. However, there was one; that was spot on with minute and accurate detail. I was told I would receive a small white car that would have wheel alignment problems, that my Mother had had ongoing problems with her knee; and that my parents would separate (and then get back together). All of this was true. For the record, I didn’t buy a small white car to fulfil my own prophecy – my grandparents gave it to me as my first car, and shortly after it had to go into the shop for a wheel alignment.

One message I have picked up along the way, is that while a lucky few are born with natural psychic ability, we all have the potential to develop and expand our own.

So, in order to find out once and for all, I will learn more about this field and seek to develop my own skills along the way. I will aim to regularly record my experiences along the way, for my benefit and for anyone who might want to listen. I’m a little apprehensive, but excited about finding some kind of truth; even if it’s that there is nothing out there at all. Wish me luck!
